Here's what we're looking for:

  • Mechanical drive systems.
  • Electric/ pneumatic system.

  • Industrial 3 phase motors and controls.
  • Welding and Torch.
  • Operate skid steer,wheel loader, fork lift.

Plant Laborer:

Do you like hands-on work and keeping busy all day with a variety of tasks? Do you have that curiosity of how machines and processes work? Do you like to solve problems? Members of AVR’s Laborers Team are key in ensuring that the equipment at our concrete plant is operating properly at all times. We may even need you to work on Saturdays.

Here's what we're looking for:

  • Ensure that the concrete plant and related equipment is operating properly at all times.
  • Make sure we have proper levels of aggregates and admixtures.
  • Take and test concrete samples for any spec work timely and accurately, keep all required records, contact Quality Control of any problems or potential problems.
  • Keep equipment and plant site neat and clean at all times, including washing the equipment whenever necessary.
  • Take pride in your work environment by maintaining plant grounds and staying organized.
  • Safety First! Operate vehicles and equipment in a safe manner at ALL times.
  • Learn to assist the Plant Manager in batching and other duties when necessary.
  • Assist Dispatch and Plant Manager in truck/driver communications.

Typical Work Environment:

  • Outside work in a busy environment surrounded by heavy equipment. Safety is paramount!
  • The work week might be up to 10+ hours/day – think of the OT!

Are you a private, analytical and private person who thrives in an environment where there is clear process and yet a high degree of time sensitive work? Do you like a consistent and predictable work environment where you are able to verify and validate information through tangible sources? Do you have your CDL license? We are seeking elite Drivers to operate our ready-mix trucks from loading site to delivery points within a 25-mile radius.

Here's what we're looking for:

  • While driving the Ready-Mix truck, the driver must drive defensively, be alert to surroundings, communicate with dispatch and use in-cab status boxes appropriately. Driver must have the ability to read and comprehend our instructions, city directions, road maps, signs and load tickets.
  • Complete pre and post trip vehicle inspections and fill out delivery tickets for each job.
  • Take disciplined approach to investments; find right balance between funding investments v delivering on annual financial targets.
  • Develop your team’s talents by attracting, retaining, and developing top talent. Drive function and organizational engagement.
  • Learn the art of adding fibers or admixtures to concrete load, only as directed.
  • Driver operates push buttons on remote device to control discharge of concrete from truck. Driver will be required to pull-down or lift-up shoulder height discharge chute during unloading and wash-down operations.
  • Wash down your truck with a truck-mounted garden hose after every truck loading and unloading at the rear of the truck.
  • Operate chute extensions that are required in approximately 30% of the deliveries. That is; 1-3 chutes need to be un-strapped and placed one after the other on the rear discharge chute.

Typical Work Environment:

  • Exposed to noise levels that require participation in the Company’s Hearing Conservation Program and the use of PPE.
  • Exposed on occasion to undesirable weather conditions while driving.
