This project came to fruition through a collaborative effort between Special Touch Construction and AME Red-E-Mix, who demonstrated to the owner the distinct advantages of a concrete parking lot over asphalt. Although the owner of Monticello Mini-storage recognized the benefits of concrete, cost concerns were initially a barrier. By engaging in a detailed cost-benefit analysis with both the contractor and owner, we highlighted the long-term durability and lifecycle value of concrete, making a strong case for its selection. Additionally, the owner appreciated the enhanced brightness and reflectivity provided by concrete, which not only elevated the visual appeal of the parking area but also contributed to improved safety.
