This project highlights the effectiveness of pervious pavement in addressing complex stormwater management requirements. When it became necessary to replace the parking lot at the City of Bloomington Public Works building—a site surrounded by existing impervious surfaces—the City opted for pervious concrete. This choice provided a durable parking solution while simultaneously functioning as an integrated drainage system, supporting sustainable water management and infrastructure resilience.
