Recognized as the 2009 Aggregate & Ready Mix Association of Minnesota Project of the Year, this multifaceted development encompasses four distinct components: a five-story post-tensioned (PT) parking ramp, a new five-story Children's Specialty Center, an east side medical office addition, and an east side ramp. More than 30,000 cubic yards of concrete were used, featuring a range of techniques—including PT and pan & joist systems, lightweight concrete, and extensive integrally colored concrete for enhanced aesthetics. The project also incorporated an innovative pre-blended microsilica product in the PT deck mix, improving workability and finish during hot weather placements.
