This project stands out as a testament to effective collaboration between Double J Concrete and AVR, as we successfully demonstrated to the owner the clear performance advantages of a concrete parking lot over asphalt. Although much of the existing lot was already constructed with concrete, choosing to replace the remaining asphalt required a thoughtful investment decision in a challenging economic climate. Our team worked closely with the contractor and ownership, providing technical guidance on the long-term value proposition of concrete, emphasizing its superior durability, reduced maintenance requirements, and overall lifecycle cost efficiency. Through direct engagement and data-driven comparison, we highlighted how concrete delivers a resilient and economical paving solution even amidst rising construction costs. The final result achieved all performance expectations for both our team and the owner.
