The Apple Valley Transit Station began operations in January 2010, offering 750 parking spaces in both surface and structured formats, as well as indoor, climate-controlled waiting areas, restrooms, and accessible transit information. Bus service is conveniently located along Cedar Avenue, with a pedestrian overpass allowing riders to safely return to their vehicles after southbound drop-offs. In collaboration with Northland Concrete and Masonry, we developed a microsilica concrete mix tailored to optimize workability for finishers, even in high summer temperatures. The mix incorporated SF pre-blended microsilica cement from Lafarge and a 20% fly ash component, enhancing surface finish and overall durability.
