The project features a five-story parking ramp with capacity for 1,500 vehicles, 2,000 square feet of integrated retail space, and a well-designed plaza serving as a connection between the ramp and the adjacent light rail transit station. Now fully operational, it holds the distinction of being the largest ramp in the Metro Transit system. A significant portion of the post-tensioned concrete required placement during challenging cold-weather conditions. Our technical team partnered closely with Knutson Construction to engineer a custom concrete mix designed for optimum performance, enabling precise placement within complex formwork while ensuring proper slump and reliable set times. This robust mix design was successfully utilized throughout the project timeline, from May through January, consistently allowing the contractor to achieve stress application within 24 hours.
